Café
Strudel is a new restaurant situated at 429 Upper Richmond
Road between Richmond Park and the Thames in South West London. In the
tradition of a Viennese Café, it offers an environment where one
can indulge in coffee and cakes at any time of the day but have a proper
meal at lunchtime or a full dinner in the evening if so desired. The proprietor,
Orly Ktitzman-Kadron, has assembled a menu that encompasses some of the
finest dishes the Wiener Küche has to offer, including traditional
family recipes, but lightened them where appropriate to suit modern tastes.
They are created with locally sourced ingredients as conscience dictates,
or with imported specialities when absolutely necessary, using small family
owned or organic suppliers whenever feasible. To complement this the wine
list encompasses probably the most extensive collection of Austrian wines
available in a restaurant anywhere in the UK, as well as some old favourites
from France. And of course no Viennese café would be complete without
a selection of fine fruit schnapps and Weinbrand, which you won't find
elsewhere here.
