Abruzzo - Introduction

In a nation of myriad appellations, Abruzzo offers wine drinkers rare and refreshing simplicitym, with only two DOCs and few unclassified wines of note. A hilly and mountainous region, it has highly favourable natural conditions for grapevines. Growers favour the predominant Montepulciano and Trebbiano, source of their two regional DOCs, while growing some highly productive vines (the region has Italy's highest average yields).

A brilliant, warm and attractive ruby red, with an ample bouquet of some complexity, with a vinous character. Dry and fruity, soft and well-balanced. Drink with all types of meat, pasta, and salad dishes.
